Lightboxing a slide in Draw from Questions

Feb 26, 2015

Hello Everyone! I have a draw from questions bank created with a couple quizzes inserted into the question bank. I want my user to be able to see the information that covers the quiz on the incorrect feedback layer. When I build quizzes and the user gets a question wrong, I have a review button that lightboxes a slide that goes over the information to help reiterate the information before the user tries again. This function works seamlessly outside of the question bank. Do any of ya'll know how to make this function work within the draw from questions bank? Or does this function just not work in Storyline 2?

Any feedback is helpful! Thank you so much.

Hi Ashley,

Thank you! I've attached some screen shots of what I am working with. The first screen shot is of the question bank. The other screen shots are of the "Try Again" layer. When an individual gets the question wrong the Try Again button is set to be hidden at initial state. When the viewer clicks Review the Try again button should go to the normal state; at the same time the review button should light box another slide for review on the content being covered in this question.

This always works for me when the quiz questions are not part of the "draw from questions". Is there a way to get this to function/light box another slide so the viewer can review the course content quickly before attempting the question again?

Thank you so much!

Hi Sara,

In a really basic set up based on your set up - I can have a lightbox slide appear based on the actions on a feedback layer, close the lightbox and continue. Since you're adjusting states and other elements that's something I'd like to take a look at more in depth. If you're able to share the file privately you can send along to me here or if you can recreate it in a sample file with confidential information stripped out you could attach that one here.
