Limit iPad Content Access
Jul 04, 2012
Hello. Just purchased Storyline today and am excited about the possibilities.
I created a 2 screen sample, published it, and uploaded it to my website. It's working fine, viewable through the articulate ipad app.
My goal is to sell the ipad version of this content. I want to only allow people to view the content online through an ipad, not through a pc.
If I give them the link to the ioslaunch.html file, rather than story.html will that work? When I access that page from a pc browser it displays the initial screen with a launch button, but doesn't go anywhere when clicked, which is fine. I didn't know if that would cause any other problems though.
Then if you want to limit access to that page, just password protect the file or folder?

Hi Vicki,
I believe that using Articulate online would be easier to use when it comes to restricting access to content. The following article explains it.

There's a free trial.

Maybe, but that's way out of my price range.
This first project is an expanded ebook with some interactivities, which I'll probably sell for about $5 each.
