I've seen this question asked a couple of years ago and wondered if anything has changed.
I have a multi-choice quiz with 5 options. The user must only select 3. Is there a way to allow only 3 to be selected? So, once the user has clicked on 3, they can't select any more until they deselect a selected option.
Thank you Michael. I wonder if this means the option isn't possible for the built in multiple choice quizzes that report an overall score to the LMS?
It's a great little interaction, just takes longer to build than Articulates own quizzes. I may have to though, as the boss is demanding this feature :-(
There isn't an option to enable that type of Set up in Storyline, so you'd need to use the additional custom elements as described in that thread Michael linked too. Let us know if you run into any difficulty and folks are pretty good here about taking a look at the .story file to see how it behaves.
I've scripted a solution in a question bank of different questions. It prevents a user from clicking too many and doesn't allow them to continue until they click the correct number of options.
It looks basic but functions. I wonder if it would be worth sharing for anyone else? How do I go about sharing the file?
It's always worth sharing the file in the event that someone else in the community stumbles upon this post and needs the same info. You can attach it using the "add attachment" at the bottom of the reply window. typically sharing the .story file is what folks want to see and if you have a link to a working/hosted published output.

This may not be exactly what you want but check out this example here.

Thanks Ashley, yes this forum is very good and helpful.
Glad to hear that Ruth, and feel free to let us know if you need anything else!

Hopefully this all works
Choose many multiple choice question that prevent user from selecting too many AND too few.
Thanks Ruth - works really well!
