I am trying to limit the number of times a user can retry a quiz. I attempted the methods that are already posted in E-Learning Heroes for Articulate Storyline, but neither one seemed to work. Do you have any suggestions of other methods I might try?
Hi Ileah! I'm assuming that you are utilizing the method shared here:
When you enable the Retry Quiz button on the result slide for a quiz, learners will have an unlimited number of attempts to take the quiz. But you can change this behavior by adding a variable to track the number of attempts and a couple of triggers to set a limit on the number of quiz attempts allowed. See this tutorial for details.
Please note that this method is for a session and your LMS must control subsequent login/attempts.
You cannot limit the attempts per session? You are welcome to share your .story file if you need us to take a look. If you cannot share the file publicly here in the forums, you are welcome to share privately here.

How are you publishing this? To an LMS? I think the settings only work accurately once published.

Leslie,
This is the method that I have tried and the course is published to LMS. But I can't seem to get it to work...
