Line Spacing in Notes Inconsistent

Aug 26, 2020

I'm starting a separate discussion about this issue so as not to confuse the issues I've been having. Attached is a simple file. I created a new Storyline file, typed some Notes, and published. You can see that in the published version, the spacing for the Notes is different than in the Storyline app. I've also attached two screenshots that show the difference.

Hi Paul,

My English is not very good, but I will do my best.

This problem has happened to me before and it's the automatic formatting that causes it.

There is a little trick. Instead of going to the next line just by pressing the "ENTER" button, you can do "SHIFT + ENTER".

This way you will go to the line below, but there should be no space.

However you should not use the automatic bullets, but add some manually, like these for example: ∎ or -

You will tell me if it worked well. Thank you

Hi Jonathan. Thank you for your input. Using Shift Enter will not work because the automatic bullet symbol will go away. Using your suggestion of manually adding bullets is not viable.

I've found with Articulate and Storyline that these forums usually focus on trying to find a work around to a bug in the software. I think your approach should be to troubleshoot and debug the software instead of offering work arounds.

Thanks for your Paul, I also think the best solution would be to have the function native.

However, at my level, I'm not a software developer and I don't work at Articulate.

I am doing my best to help you and at the moment the only solution I have found to try to help you is this one 😅.

However you can contact the Staff of Storyline, they are excellent and very reactive. Here is also this link for suggestions: https://articulate.com/support/contact/feature-request

I also think that the vocation of this forum is not only to get around bugs. There are a lot of concrete solutions, improvements, a nice community and you can find help for problems that are not only related to the software.

Good luck with your project and have a good day.
