I have an object, that when hovered over, a box to the right appears with text. I added a link to the text, but when I leave the object with the hover trigger, to go click on the link, the text/link naturally disappears.
Anyone have ideas on how to keep the text/link showing, but keep the same hover triggers?
Did you build the new text box as a part of the hover state? Could you set it to show a layer instead when the user hovers over the object, and then control how the layer is closing with a layer trigger?
If you're able to share the .story file you've started we can take a look at your exact triggers and offer thoughts based on that too. You'll want to use the "add attachment" button to include it here.
in the hover trigger is the checkbox 'restore on leave' ticked or unticked. Play around with checking/uncheck img this to see if you get the behaviour you want.
Otherwise as Ashley said upload your file - it's easier to diagnose.
Another option is to create the link as its own object, with its initial state set to hidden, and change it to normal when the mouse hovers over the other object. Of course, I'm guessing that you will probably need another trigger someplace to hide the link again.

I built a hotspot to reveal layer when hovered over. When the user leaves the hotspot, the base layer is shown.
