external files linked as a ressource normally are saved in a folder called "story_content\external_files". After publishing the player this folder is in place and the file is inside. This prodedure does not work when publishing on CD.
The external files folder should be in the folder when publishing to CD. Have you added the files to the Resources tab and linked them somewhere on the slide?
