Linking video control to animation timings (Storyline 2)

Hi All,
There seems to be a number of threads around this subject but I haven't been able to find an answer. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction!
I have a video on one of my slides that contains a number of animations created in Storyline (text). When you scrub through the video, the animation timings are no longer linked and run independently. Is there a way of linking the video player to the animations? (not keen on using the custom seekbar as this doesn't show timings and have used the video controller throughout the project). I've seen some recommendations to create shapes off-screen with triggers but not sure how this could work?
Thanks.
Matt

Hi there Matt,
Have you thought about using Replay to make a screen recording of the Storyline 2 file? That way, the animations are included in the video.
Since you've got a Storyline 2 license, you can download Replay for free right here.
I know it's not what you want, but when I use a video with animations, I start a new slide when the video starts. That way, the slide timeline is the video timeline, and I don't use a video player seekbar. The animations do stay in snych with the slide seekbar.
I know of no other way to tie the seekbar to the animations.
Thanks Alyssa and Walt. Will give them a try!
