Live assessments

Aug 25, 2014

I have a questions about assessments in storyline.

What i'd like to do is create an assessment that tracks the user's progress as they go.

For example, there might be a bank of 10 questions with a requirement of 70% success to pass. If the learner answers the first 4 questions incorrectly, (or whatever the number is that will prevent them from passing the assessment), then the learner is locked out of the assessment and their progress is recorded as failed.

I would then like an automated email to be sent to the manager of that particular learner and for that learner to be effectively locked out of the course until they are reassigned.

I hope i have explained this well enough!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ben and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Here is a tutorial on how you can limit quiz attempts in Storyline.

As far as e-mailing the results, we want every feature in our software to work well and, unfortunately, there’s no way to email results easily, accurately, and consistently. For example, if you use Gmail or your computer’s security settings are high, you can’t email results. Also, you run the risk of learners tampering with results since they can access the email before it’s sent. Given these limitations, we decided not to include the email results feature in our products anymore.
