LMS Completion Problem

We are having problems with our courses getting marked as completed in the LMS. Most do and then others say 100% but do not trigger completion. This happens randomly only 1 time in 10 and we can not find the reason. We went to the LMS company and they said it was a manifest issue. However, it only happens sometimes in the LMS.

Hi Amber:

Your LMS vendor is probably correct.

Compare the publish settings of those courses that do provide completion status and those that do not.

You will probably find the difference there. Example, incomplete / failed works best for some LMS systems while others need complete / passed, or completed / incomplete (used for content only courses).

Also verify the number of slides viewed to complete a course equals the minimum number of slides in a branched course.
