The LMS gives my answer with lots of additional data which doesn't make sense. Is it due to the type of output I choose or something else? I chose SCROM 2004.
I am not sure how to identify the type of LMS to use. Is it based on version and build? I am new to LMS.
As for Likert scale, we are trying to accumulate all the data from the LMS into a list of answers from various learners. So it is like I choose 1 agree, 2 Supper Agree and the result will show that under Agree and super agree, 1 and 2 respectively
There are lots of great community discussions on how to choose a Learning Management System (LMS). I'd take a look at some of the information shared here:
I hope that those help and get you started. I'd also take a look at theBuilding Better Courses side of ELH. That side tends to focus more on design and how to, but lots of best practices and recommendations for this!
Thanks Zay - the results are sent to the LMS based on how the user answers, and it's up to the LMS how they display that data back to you. It looks like Talentsoft is showing you some of the raw data - have you reached out to your LMS admin for ideas on different reports you could pull?
Are you using any non-English Characters in your answers? You may find that non-English characters in question and answer text are replaced by underscores (_) in LMS debug logs or reports.
We replace non-English characters with underscores when communicating with an LMS to conform to AICC and SCORM 1.2 standards. These specs only support letters, numbers, and a few special characters (!, $, %, *, etc.). SCORM 2004 supports more characters, but many LMSs don't. Sending unexpected characters could cause LMS reporting to fail.
We ran some tests in Storyline 360 and 2 (SCORM formats 1.2 and 2004), and saw that spaces convert to underscores in the SCORM Cloud report log. It seems that the answers are being formatted that way for file storing purposes.
I'd like to enlist the help from our Support Engineers for a closer look, though! I've created a case on your behalf, so you should receive a confirmation email shortly. I'll follow along as well and post updates here, as needed!

Any one also have any idea how to accumulate the data of likert scale in LMS after publishing from LMS?
Hi Zay,
What LMS are you using? It's up to each LMS how they'll share and report the data, but what we'll report to them is detailed here.
You may also want to look at testing the content at SCORM Cloud, a good standard for LMSs.
For the Likert scale issues, take a look at the information I shared here.

The likert question type data does not translate well in most LMSs.
If you can download as excel you may be able to get meaningful data out of it.

It is called Talentsoft LMS. Any idea how to get rid of underscore in the result?

Actually the underscore issue also shows in scormcloud too.
Is this normal for other lms too?

We don't use any non-english characters and the version we are using is scrom 2004.
Hi Zay,
If that's the case, we'll want to take a look at your .story file and test it as well. Can you share a copy with us here?
The source file as per attached.
This is the result which show in our lms.
Hi Zay! You might have replied via email, which won't include attachments. Could you try again to attach your .story file here? Thanks!
Here is the source file as per attached. I try clicking the link but I think my com is too slow in responding. Nothing pops out.
Thanks for sharing your file with us, Zay ☺️
