LMS not recording completion status for a module with no quiz

Sep 06, 2017

Hi everyone

I'm trying to troubleshoot why one of our modules wouldn't show a completion status on our LMS. This is a module called 'Getting started' which gives an overview of the course so it doesn't have a quiz attached to it.

In the publishing option, I selected 'Track using number of slides viewed (1 of 12)'. I tested each of the LMS Reporting option (Passed/Incomplete, Passed/Failed, Completed/Incomplete, Completed/Failed) and none of them works.

I've already looked at this article: https://blogs.articulate.com/word-of-mouth/troubleshooting-lms-issues/ and this: https://articulate.com/support/article/how-to-report-completion-status-and-success-status-to-an-lms-sl2

All the rest of our modules with quizzes are able to publish the results successfully.

I'm unable to share the course in a public forum.

Can you please help?

Regards

Arleen

Hi Arleen,

do you have "hidden" information slides like contact or help which are not included in the scene but in the player? Maybe this could be a problem, because they count in this too if you didn´t adjust the slide number of slide which have to be viewed. If that´s not it you could share your file with the support team and they can take a look into it. :)

Hi Arleen,

Did you also test it at SCORM Cloud? That's an industry standard for testing it, and this article will walk you through how to get started there. If it registers the completion there after viewing one slide I'd share those results with your LMS admin.

If you need our help testing it, or it doesn't register completion at SCORM Cloud, definitely send the file to our Support Engineers. They're happy to take a look!
