LMS not tracking completion when exiting and reentering (html5)

Update: We believe we have figured out the issue with this problem in our particular course. Input is no longer needed. 

I have a course that is running correctly in flash, but not when using html5. If I exit and re-enter the course, it resumes where I left off, but it does not "remember" the slides I have viewed in terms of tracking. There is no test, so we are tracking based on the number of slides viewed. If I go through the whole course in one sitting, the LMS status is reported correctly, but if I exit using the Exit button and then return to complete the remaining slides, the LMS status shows it as not completed. This issue is listed as addressed in Update 3, but I have that update and it is not working in my course. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thank you.
