LMS Publishing - Getting Course Complete

I have multiple paths for learners to complete a course. The number of slides to reach the end varies. I struggled to get a 'Completion' in the LMS. I have it working, but I don't understand the difference... (1) Why is there a variable called "CourseComplete" (T/F) and a SCORM Tracking Option for minimum number of slides viewed to complete? It appears they oppose each other.
A. Is there a way to get the 'CourseComplete' variable to override the (Tracking) minimum number of slides? (I set my slides viewed to complete to 1 of total to make the variable work)
B. If I set minimum number of slides viewed to complete 1 of Total, will that override the 'CourseComplete' variable?
Thanks!

Hi Art,
A Storyline 360 course can be tracked by only one of these three options:
Check out our documentation here on the course completion trigger.
I'm in SL2. Sorry.
Oh, thanks for clarifying Art and sorry for any confusion.
So, are you needing to track completion and success status? Is that the issue you're struggling with?
When publishing Storyline and Studio content as SCORM or AICC output, you get to choose one of these four reporting options:
Some LMSs only track a completion status, in which case you can choose any of the reporting options.
However, some LMSs track a completion status and a success status. To send a positive result to your LMS for both statuses when learners pass the course, choose either Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed.
