I want to confirm that you are working locally as described here. When you insert audio, or open files, the loading audio can appear for a few seconds while the audio loads. Is this happening for a longer period of time? have you tried inserting the audio again? You may also want to take a look at the information here if this issue continues.
I was able to fix it. I am documenting what I did in case it helps someone else. I deleted all the "bad" audio files (it was approximately 10% of the slides) and saved my Storyline file with a new name. On my local computer, I located the original audio files that had been corrupted. I saved the audio file with a new name. Then, I imported the renamed audio files into Storyline. It worked! I don't know why that worked, but it did.

Thanks Emily. I've followed every bit of advice on the links but none work :(
Hi Howie,
Do you have a file you could share here?
I've raised a case and as it may be connected to something else. Thanks for your help Emily
Thanks for the update Howie,
Let us know when you get a resolution.
I am having the same problem. Was there any resolution?
Hi Angela, I can't remember unfortunately. I raised it as a ticket and it was solved.
Hi Angela!
I took a peek at the case that Howie filed and it appears to be very specific to his environment. Anti-virus and .net framework installation.
You could first conduct a repair of your software as explained in this article to see if that alleviates your issue.
Otherwise, I would recommend that you work directly with our support team here so that we can take a look at the issue you are having as well.

So glad to hear that you were able to get to the bottom of it Angela. I appreciate you popping in to share an update and solution with the community.
Sounds like it could have been exactly what you said and was corrupted somehow.
