You can use STATES on the text box that has the slide numbers. Create a state called SPANISH and make the change in that state.
Then I am presuming there is a variable you are setting at the beginning of the course to store the localization flag. So, at the start of the slide, update the text box to change the state to SPANISH if that is what the localization flag requires.
