Hi, my company has been using two versions of Storyline. In the older version, the player controls (previous, next, pause, progress bar) appeared at the bottom of the slide. In the newest version, they are appearing on the side. In the latest version, is there a way to move the controls back to the bottom of the slide?
Hi Lauren - Appearing on the side? That's not the default for sure and I'm not sure that I've seen that. Do you have a .story file I could take a peek at?
It only looks this way after we publish it. In preview, the controls are at the bottom. We are publishing for the web, creating a link with tempshare, and viewing on an ipad. Do you still want to see the .story file?
Yes, that is the way we are seeing it now. We weren't seeing it that way before (when publishing from a pervious version of Storyline). How do we change it so that the player controls are at the bottom? Also, we programed the player to be blue, etc. When we preview it, it looks the way we want, but then it changes after publishing and viewing on iPad. How do we maintain the look from the preview?
Hi Lauren - Phil is correct as this is the default behavior now. When previewing, you have some smaller icons to preview how it will look across devices as you can see in this documentation.
I recorded a brief Peek video here to show the icons described below and in above-mentioned documentation.
Click any of the five device icons in the upper right corner of the screen to quickly switch your preview to another device or orientation, including:
Laptop/desktop computers
Tablets in landscape mode
Tablets in portrait mode
Smartphones in landscape mode
Smartphones in portrait mode
With Storyline 360, it’s super easy to see how your course will look and behave with the new responsive player on any mobile device and orientation.

Thanks for specifying Lauren. Sounds like you are experiencing the default behavior of landscape mode on mobile devices.

The player in 360 is now the responsive player you see, I don't believe there is anyway to force the user to see the old player.
