Lock a Scene After Completion

Apr 20, 2018

I've set up my course with 3 different parts: a pre-quiz, the actual course, and a final exam. I'm allowing learners to "test out" of the course if they achieve a certain score on the pre-quiz.

With that in mind, I'm trying to restrict or lock scene 1 (pre-quiz) once they've completed it and if they don't achieve the score I've established. Is there a way to do this? I will be using a restricted menu as well, but that only prohibits visiting future slides but still allows free-clicking on already-visited slides.

You could always set a variable (like FailedFirstScene) to true. Then put a trigger on each slide in the forbidden scene to "jump to a legal scene when the timeline on the slide starts if FailedFirstScene = true".

If you create a layout for each scene (even if they are duplicates), you might be able to get away with putting the trigger on the master.
