When I publish a course and view it in Chrome the size is perfect. Looking at it in IE the size is much smaller. Also the font issue still occurs. This company doesn't use Chrome for the LMS (courses must be launched and viewed in IE). Why the extreme difference? Is there any way around this?
With the Player Size, I would reccommend trying the Scale to fill browser windowsetting. When using the Lock player at optimal size setting, it locks the published course at its optimal size, which is the slide size plus additional width and height for the player frame.
In regards to the font issue, what appears to be taking place? Are there missing letters on the published output?

The font appears differently in IE than Chrome. I will try this setting. I was always told lock player was optimal.
