locked screen until media of web object ends?
Oct 19, 2015
Does anyone know please if there is any way I can set my next button to a normal state (initial state of hidden) when the media of a web object ends? The client has specified the learner has to have watched the video entirely before continuing.
Before, we had the video directly in the slide, but as we thought, it drastically increased load times on client end, so now we are using a web object to embed the video.
I've tried estimating how long it would take a user to read the text before pushing play on the video (using html5 for a custom video control) however that isn't accurate. I could also put the object on another layer, but it doesn't play the video automatically if the user clicks a button on the base slide, even if set to load automatically.
Cheers!

Hi Ian!
If you had the web object 'in slide' and set to load automatically, you could probably estimate the time a bit better to set the Next button back to normal state.
Hopefully others will chime in with their ideas/suggestions as well.
hi Leslie, I've tried that, but I'm using html5 video controls (the client wants replay ability), so it doesn't start playing automatically. Plus many of the slides have text the learner has to read before watching the video, so it's got to be started by them.
Ah, ok Ian. Well, hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist with your design.
