Locking slide progression and interaction triggers

Hey guys. I don't know if what I'm asking about can be done, but I REALLY hope it can.

Is there any way to lock navigation triggers? Here's the situation: I am building the bones of courses my company is developing and disseminating those to other people in the department, but I've find that while working in story view, slides are quite easily moved around accidentally, breaking the connections between slides and making the courses impossible to navigate because of the variables and conditions I've applied. Even while being very ginger with it, we frequently have to move slides around at the end that have mysteriously appeared in places where they shouldn't.

Any ideas? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
