I would like to add a small logo to player base, not in the sidebar (because I don't want a sidebar). So it would appear on the top-right of the player. How do I do this?
If you'd like to add a logo into the Storyline player, the only location it may appear is within the sidebar. However, the sidebar can be positioned on the left side or the right side of your content.
If you'd like to position your logo elsewhere, place it on your slide master, so it appears consistently throughout your course.

Thanks Ashley - I was hoping for a different solution, but thanks anyway.
As Ashley noted above, one way is to place the logo on the master slide (maybe expand the height a little as well).
The 2nd way involves adding some html code on your story.html file after publishing.
The 3rd way involves adding that same html code on your parent html page (if the story is launched within an iframe).
Both 2 and 3 conserve a bit of bandwidth as the logo does not load every single time you move to a new slide.
