Looking for LMS
Jan 03, 2014
Hi All. We are just getting started with our online eLearning community and are shopping for an LMS. Currently looking at Litmos and Docebo. Can anyone comment on their experiences using Articulate with either or suggest another LMS that works well with Articulate?
We are currently not international, but do have plans to be, so potential to have additional languages would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tiffany,
Welcome to the community! I havent had any experience with Litmos or Docebo, but have used both Kallidus LMS and Absorb by Blatant . Both integrate well with Articulate but Absorb is definitely my favourite!
Let us know what you decide to go with in the end, and why you decided to go with that one; im always interested to hear other peoples LMS preferences (you never know when you will need to change!)
I'm also paying close attention to LMS preferences these days in hopes of finding a new one that better suits my company's needs for the price tag that comes with it.
Tiffany, here are a couple links that I've favorited on the LMS discussion:
Would you share the reasons why you've narrowed your selection down to these two platforms? What are the selling points?
Hi Tiffany, I have used Storyline with Docebo and Moodle and both worked well. There are always issues and 'hiccups' in the initial setup that need to be worked out. No matter which LMS you end up selecting, I suggest A LOT of testing with different browsers, browser versions and OS versions.
Hi Tiffany and welcome to Heroes!
It looks like you're getting some great recommendations here, and I just wanted to chime in with some additional information to help you as you begin investigating your options.
For the best results and most accurate reporting, we recommend using Articulate Online:

Any LMS that is compliant with SCORM, AICC, or Tin Can API will also provide accurate tracking capabilities. Here are some open-source LMS options that may meet your tracking needs:
* Dokeos: http://campus.dokeos.com/
* eFront: http://www.efrontlearning.net/open-source
* Moodle: http://moodle.org/

Tracking results in a text file or database is not supported. If you'd like to track your Storyline content without an LMS, we recommend consulting the Community Forums to see how others may have handled similar situations.
Kimberly,
Right now the cost is a major driving factor. We are a small technology company, but are releasing an enterprise product and will likely have to grow, with plans to go international and release in different markets. We will use for not only internal but external training that we need to charge for, so the presence of a shopping cart is big. I am doing comparison specifically on scalability, support, reporting and ease of use.
Thanks for all the input. I have a lot of research to do it appears.
Does Articulate Online support an online shopping cart so learners can view the course content and then buy the course online to access it?
Hi Debbie,
Articulate Online does not have a shopping cart function, so you'd need to set this up in another service, and once you've confirm the user has paid provide them with the information to access the course.
