Looped Video and Bandwidth

Folks,

I have a question in relation to the ever confusing Bandwidth question.

If I were to loop a video, would the video just keep downloading to the end users computer, essentially eating bandwidth? I suppose this would be the same question with looped audio tracks. OR would the LMS or Storyline recognise the looped nature and just load the file one time and keep playing?
