Looping Video
Jul 30, 2014
Hi All,
I have a quicktime video image that I'm trying to auto-loop, but there is a 1-second delay before the video restarts. I'm following the instructions, here: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/how-to-loop-audio-or-video-in-storyline
While it's not a big issue, it makes the scene look a bit awkward. Here is an example: http://www.esafeteen.org/courses/ST%20Waving%20output/story.html
If you open the video in any player and repeat, you can see that it should look relatively fluid from the end of one cycle to the beginning of the next.
I've included my story file and the quicktime video. Does anyone have any suggestions to make the video restart without the 1 second pause in the middle?
Thanks!

Here is the story file: Looks like I can only upload 1 file per post.
Hi Michael,
I'm not an expert on videos, so I'm hoping someone else will jump in. Thought I'd start the conversation.
A couple observations.
The instructions in Step 2 say to do this:
And I noticed that for Object, you've selected the Media instead of the slide. Still, I tried that and it didn't make any difference.
Also, the character DOES appear to be in a static state at the very very beginning of the video. But I tried trimming within SL to remove the beginning and that didn't seem to help.
Perhaps someone with more expertise will have an answer.
I wonder if that file has fast start enabled would be good to see where the moov information is could be it haste load the file in full each time
I had this problem, too, and Phil's post gave me a clue. I solved it by going back to the original file, which I had edited to make a smooth fade in and fade out. I removed all the transition effects, imported it into Storyline, and it ran without the second or so of delay between loops.
Thanks for popping in to share with the community Paula :)
