I have an several presenter files that appear on screen one at a time. These are all synced up with audio. When I convert these files to Storyline 2 I loose that timing. Is there a setting or something I need to change to get this to work? Some of my files do not loose this timing.
Hi, Jack -- Sorry to hear that info did not address the issue you are seeing! As such, would it be possible for you to share your .ppt/.pptx file with me so that I can see if I encounter the same behavior you're finding when I import into Storyline 2 on my machine?
To upload your file, please use the grey ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box in your forum post, and you will be able to browse from there. :)
Hi, Jack -- I just wanted to touch base and let you know that your file was successfully received, and I am importing your .pptx into Storyline 2 as we speak. I will be sure to post my findings as soon as possible. Your patience is appreciated!
Hi, Jack -- Would it be possible for you to share your Presenter Package, as well? I should have asked for it earlier instead of just the .pptx, as I'll need it for your audio files. My apologies for the oversight! :)
Hello again, Jack -- So sorry for the inconvenience, but what I will need is the zipped Presenter Package as described here so that I can extract all the files onto my desktop at once. This section of the article below should shed a little more light!
Sharing your project with another developer
After creating an Articulate Package, send the resulting zip file to another developer through your preferred delivery method (email, external drive, network drive, etc.). The developer who receives it should save it to their local hard drive and fully extract it before opening the presentation.
Hi, Jack -- Thanks for your response, and if you can walk through these steps to create your zipped Presenter Package and upload it here, we will be happy to take a look from there. Or if you would prefer to work directly with our Support Engineers, here is the form you would need. The choice is yours! :)
Thanks so much, Jack! I should have what I need now to do a side-by-side comparison of your Presenter output vs. how everything looks after imported to Storyline! I will check it out shortly and will be in touch as soon as possible with my findings. :)
Hi, Jack -- Many thanks for your continued patience! I have not been able to discern the difference between the published output of your PPT file vs. the published output of your file after the PPT has been imported into SL2. As such, I am going to see if our Support Engineers are able to take a closer look to offer some insight into the behavior you are experiencing. I will set you up in a case momentarily, and you should receive a confirmation email shortly thereafter. :)
Certainly, Jack! Your ticket number is 00735120, and if for some reason you should not receive the confirmation email in just a few minutes, please check your SPAM/junk folder. Otherwise, I plan to follow along with the progress being made on your case and will share relevant updates here for others who many benefit. :)
UPDATE as of 2/10/16 from our Support Engineering Staff for anyone who has been following along in this forum post:
"Hi Jack,
Thanks for your reply. I have submitted your case to our Quality Assurance team for their review. Unfortunately I was unable to determine a workaround other than to manually readjust the animation timings for your bullets.
I cannot offer a time frame for when or if this issue will be resolved. But I'll keep you posted on any updates from our QA team."
