I am hoping someone may be able to help me a problem.
I did a screen capture and was in the process of inserting is into a slide in a new project when my laptop turned off completely. Long story, am in the process of getting a new laptop because my runs hot and it just shuts itself off.
Does anyone know whether I would be able to find the screen capture and where it is?
I have checked the usual locations and can't seem to find where the screen recording may be stored.
Unfortunately, I don't believe you'll be able to recover the file. If the recording isn't within the .STORY file, I don't think you'll be able to get access to it again. I do apologize for the trouble, I'm sure after the crash that's not something you want to hear. I hope you're able to get the replacement laptop soon, I've had some experience with an older machine overheating and I know it's not an enjoyable experience!
In the meantime, if you're still working on your laptop, the only recommendation I can give is to save often and make backups of your projects, if at all possible.
