low audio volume in a published Storyline

Sep 16, 2020

I have a problem with the audio in an already published version put into the LMS. Before publishing the volume was fine (in Storyline) but when published it seems the volume goes much lower. All of the tracks were recorded in Storyline. I am now trying to improve the sound quality by marking all audio to be in high volume as well as adjusting the volume in the audio editor for each slide but it is time-consuming and I am not sure if it's going to actually work. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello Joanna,

If you choose the high volume option, the sound should indeed be louder.

However, it is best to record the narrations before integrating them. By doing this, it is possible to make audio adjustments and normalize them before integrating them.

If you don't have audio software, I recommend Audacity which is free and very powerful.

Also, if you have other modules to do, you will be sure to have the same sound level from one module to another.

I hope this will be useful, don't hesitate if you have other questions.

Hello Jonathan,

Thank you for your reply.

As for Audacity- this could be a good tip for my next project, however the one I was talking about is basically complete, and there were three other people doing the voice-overs, so I do not have the time to have them re-record everything again.

I wish there was an easy and not so time-consuming way to make the audio sound properly in Articulate only.
