Mac and Storyline
Mar 28, 2013
Ok I know this issue has been discussed many times before. But last week I saw Storyline run on a Mac for the first time. First it made me happy. I was running a Storyline course. Everything went fine for the students on Macs until we we're getting into screen recording. If you run a Parallel desktop you most certainly won't have all the programs on the PC side too. Which makes screen recording quite dull and useless.
Or, am I, as a PC user, missing something out here?
Any experiences or suggestions how to use screen recording in Storyline when running on a Mac?

I have only ever recorded the web browser in Windows.
I do have Office on the PC side and Mac. I also have all the adobe apps on my Mac and windows. If I need to record the Mac side I normally use Camtasia.
See your point, but has never been a problem (yet).
Although a native version of Storyline would make me happy, as long as they dont go the Camtasia route and produce an underpowered version
Hi Phil
Can you import Camtasia screen recordings to Storyline or do you ues Camtasia for the whole production then?
I can bring the screen recording in as an MP4 and bring into Storyline. I lose some of the feature but I can also approximate these if needed by cutting the video and adding in interactivity.
