MAC user can not see a "Start Quiz" slide where they enter their name in text entry field

Sep 17, 2020

Hi everyone,

I am having some issues with students who are MAC users with the web published storyline 360 files.  Problem is it is not consistent, so I am having difficulty troubleshooting and wondered if anyone else has gone through this.

User is on a MAC and using Chrome (which is what we ask them to use in our organization).  They go through the e-learning but when they get to the slide with the Text entry field to type in their name to get a certificate on the last slide with their name on it, the slide comes up blank.  However, the user finished at least 10 other modules with no issues as far as I know.

I have asked them to clear their cache but so far no luck.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Teresa

Hi Teresa!

It sounds like the user can access all of the other slides except the one slide with the text entry field. Do you have text entry fields in other parts of the course? If so, are they visible to the user?

Have they tried using a different browser to see if that makes a difference?

We're happy to take a look at the course! You can share it with us in this discussion or upload it privately here.

Hi Teresa!

Thank you for attaching your file!

I've tested the course three times using Chrome in a Mac environment and I don't see any blank pages. You can watch one of my tests here.

Can you make sure the user is opening the webpage in the latest version of Chrome? If not, here's out to update Google Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Update Google Chrome. Important: If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
  4. Click Relaunch.
