Attached is a course I am developing. I am trying to add functionality whereby the 5 tabs in the main menu change color (or have some sort of other indicator i.e. tick, star) to show that they have been completed.
Any ideas? I've been playing with it for a few hours and at this stage am open to suggestions.

I have created a variable called topic1 which is triggered from false to true on the last layer of topic 1.
Added state of completed to rectangle Topic1 on menu slide
Added two triggers:
1. Change state of rectangle Topic1 to completed when timeline starts on main menu on condition that topic1 variable = true (this happened on the last slide of topic 1 scene)
2. Hide layer topic1 when timeline starts on main menu on condition that topic1 variable = true.

go into the States tab and select Edit states, then use the duplicate icon to copy one of the other states and then I added a shape (tick).
