Major publishing issues - HTML 5 - please help!

Jun 11, 2015

Morning guys,

I'm publishing a number of courses to be used in an LMS but since publishing there seems to be problem after problem!

I'm testing the courses through multiple browsers and things are just so randomly wrong - mostly in explorer with HTML5, entrance and exit effects either don't work or are incredibly delayed.

I have the most recent update for Storyline2 but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Has anyone else come across a similar problem and please please please tell me you know of a solution?

Feeling desperate and hopefull...

Hi, Beansprout Monster -

Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, but we will see what we can do to help you out! So, to start, have you tested your published output on the SCORM Cloud? These articles on LMS troubleshooting may also be helpful here and here. You may also want to check out this information on Publishing and Sharing Articulate Storyline Content.

If issues persist, there are a few other things we can try: Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline.

You are also welcome to share your file or a sample here so that we can take a look.

I just published a part of my course and it looks fine in the "file", but the graphics are not lined up properly in html, frames I put around videos did not hold their same size and it's kind of a mess in some spots.  Also when I did my drag and drop quiz in the html version all of the objects stacked instead of tiling like they were set up.  The tile fine in the file and preview.  ???  I am running it on Firefox - latest version.  Any ideas?  THANKS

This has been a persistent problem for me since the last update.

I never had any issues with publishing before. Lately, however, my files are often zipped incorrectly. I published a course just now multiple times and got different zipped files of 1.64 MB, 2.46 MB, and 3.38 MB. The smaller size courses will no doubt be missing images and therefore will not load properly.

I don't know what the problem is.  It's not just this one course but other courses also. And this happened since the latest update. It has wasted so much of my time going back and forth checking and republishing courses.
