Make a trigger from the current slide to affect the next slide

I'm making a free form quiz and I want to show a progress bar to show how many points the learner has scored. I obviously don't want to create a progress bar utilizing a trigger for state which will show them immediately that the selection they've chosen is correct. So I want to change the state of the progress bar in the NEXT slide to show the 20 points have been acheived based on their answer selection from the first slide. Is it possible to create a trigger for state change based on another slide's interaction?
