Making checkboxes

Oct 25, 2018

How do I make it so that a user cannot uncheck a check box once it has been selected? Thanks.

You could add a trigger to the checkbox that changes the state of the checkbox to Selected when user clicks. Or, you could:

1. delete the checkbox's built-in Disabled state

2. duplicate the checkbox's built-in Selected state and name it Disabled, and then

3. add a trigger to the checkbox that changes the state of the checkbox to Disabled when user clicks.

Normally, you wouldn't have to add a trigger because the built-in Selected state will be displayed automatically when a button in Normal state is clicked. But, clicking a button in Selected state again would revert back to the Normal state, and that's what you want to avoid. Therefore you need to force the Selected state being displayed every time the button is clicked.

I had some other actions on the box and hadn't thought it through. I'm used to Lectora and am just getting into Articulate and find aspects of it puzzling.

Thanks,
