Making Learners Review All the Slide Content

Jul 21, 2016

I created a slide with multiple tabs, that when clicked show a new layer. I want to make sure they review the information on each of those tabs. Is there a way to set up the slide so the learner has to click on each tab before being able to continue onto the next slide?

I have a similar slide only instead of layers my tabbed content is in states - but same principle. Yes, you can do this. I don't know if this is the best way but what I did was make 3 variables and 3 triggers. A true/false variable for each tab clicked, default to false, turns true when clicked. Then a trigger for each tab. On my slide there was a next arrow who's initial state was hidden. So the triggers were: change state of next button to normal when user clicks tab 1 if tab2 clicked (variable) is equal to true and tab3 clicked (variable) is equal to true. Then, change state of next button to normal when user clicks tab 2 if tab1 clicked (variable) is equal to true and tab3 clicked (variable) is equal to true. Rinse and repeat. Hope that makes sense!

Hi, Blythe -- Thanks for reaching out here! While I will defer to your fellow community members to share their ideas and advice on ways to set this up, I did want to pass along this info in case it may be of use, as well: How to Temporarily Disable or Hide Navigation Buttons until the learner is finished interacting with the slide.
