Manually adding points to the score

So I'm making my own triggers, transparent shapes, and screenshots to create a software sim instead of using the built in Record Screen test making thing.
The reason? Even with video compression set to the highest quality when publishing, that doesn't matter when the default Record Screen video recording is already highly compressed.
Currently I've converted my questions to freeform, I'm using pick one with a transparent shape. Works great. Except I don't really want to display feedback, I simply want it to advance to the next screen. Remember, software sim with screenshots. If I turn off feedback, it doesn't function.
All of that is beside the point and merely for background. I have everything I need except for manually adding points to the score and of course then I'll need to update the total number of points so a percentage can be calculated.
How would I adjust those variables?

The built-in score variables are read-only and cannot be changed manually. Either you use a custom score variable or you use hidden (offscreen) quiz interactions, e.g. pick one that generate points which are then calculated by the built-in variables.
