Marker disappears after mouse hover state change
Oct 18, 2018
Hi there,
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong or there is a simple solution but I haven't been able to find it in the forum. I'm trying to change the state of a pulsing marker so that it is a different color when the mouse hovers over it. When I preview it the marker changes color when the mouse hovers over it, but when I take the mouse away the marker disappears completely. When I uncheck the "restore on mouse leave" option the marker simply remains as the second color, which I do not want. I'm using Storyline 2 btw. Appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Greg

Can you share your .story file here so that someone can take a closer look at the triggers and states?
Sure here it is.
Have a look at the attached and see it that's what you want. Instead of using a trigger to display a state on hover, I simply use the built-in Hover state. This state is automatically displayed on hover and removed on hover off.
This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you! Can you help me understand what you did?
I duplicated the Down state and named it Hover. The Hover state is a built-in state, which is called automatically, without the need for any triggers. Here is some info on built-in object states.
