Marker function not working in Safari

Sep 27, 2016

I added one of the standard markers to a slide and added text to the pop-open box. Everything works fine in Chrome and Firefox; but in Safari, the box only opens to display the first line of text and there is no way to expand the box. Is there a known fix for this bug?

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for reaching you here! When you're viewing the published content in Safari, what environment are you publishing for and where are you uploading your course to view it from? If you're testing it locally, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, you'll want to make sure to upload it to the environment for which it was published. For instance, if you publish for web you'll want to upload the published output to a web environment, such as tempshare, to properly test it.

There was also an issue with markers displaying improperly in the HTML5 output that was cleared up an update, so you'll also want to make sure that you're running the latest update for Storyline 2- update 10.

If you're running the latest update and viewing the course uploaded to its intended environment but still seeing this issue, would you mind sharing your project file here so I can do some testing? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this thread. Thanks!
