Marker Text Box Relocates When Marker is Grouped with Other Objects

I am using Storyline 1 version 1.8.  I have a drap and drop scenario where I have 8 characters, with each character having a marker beside it.  I've grouped each marker with the associated character because I want both to be dragged to the drop target together.  When I view the published slide and click on the maker, the text window that opens appears offplace on the slide and not where it was placed in regular view mode.  I saw where there was some dicussion on this topic about a year ago and that the issue was submitted,  but not resolved and the workaround was to "ungroup" the items. https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/markers-not-working-when-grouped
