I have a custom navigation created for my storyline project and have placed this on a master slide to be used on all slides with interactions needed. My issue is when I preview the slides and trigger the layers, my navigation disappears.
For example, I have a hotspot to hover over this shows an image and plays audio. When this layer is "displayed," my custom navigation and anything that should show from the master slide disappears and doesn't come back even after the layer is hidden again.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I can't figure this out.
If your navigation on the master is on a layer there, any layers you use on a page must not have "hide other layers" checked -- because they will hide master layers too.
Maybe you can help with another issue I can't figure out.
On this same project, I have some slides that I want the user to hover or click on a couple of hotspots before the next button is active. This works fine if I don't have any conditions set on the trigger but when I set conditions all of the variables change except for the one for the next button to become clickable.
Thank you Ren, I have attached my Storyline file for assistance with this question. I have added the variable reference markers on the first slide that I am having trouble with.
Thanks for sharing your file! You'll notice that you can actually trigger the Next button to appear if you hover over all the icons before the timeline ends. I think that's the key part of the trigger that's causing the issue.
I've taken a different approach and took advantage of States. Instead of hotspots, I've created invisible shapes with states that will trigger the Next button to appear once all states are Visited. This focuses on the variable changing after the user completes the icon hovers and not when the timeline ends.
Please take a look at the file attached and let me know what you think!

Thank you for that, it worked!
You're very welcome!
