I have searched and think the answer is No, but I thought I would post anyway.
Is there a way to add a custon submit quiz answer (interaction) button on the master slide, without adding a trigger/hotspot on every question slide?
I will have over 1,000 questions in my quiz bank. I was planning on creating a keyboard/mouse recorded macro (3rd party program) to add the trigger onto the question slides, but it would be much easier if I could just add the submit interaction onto the master slide.
There wouldn't be a way to add that as a button (that would function) as there is no way to assign a "submit interaction" trigger to it. The trigger wizard is looking for a interaction associated with that slide - and since there won't be any on the slide master, it won't work.
So the only options are to edit each individual slide (all 1000 of them) and add a hotspot trigger overtop of my custom submit button to submit interaction.
or use the default submit button?
Each time I copy/paste the hotspot/trigger, it resets to "unassigned" and I have to click "submit interaction multiple choice"......this might take a long time.
When you're copying the hotspot/trigger from slide to slide - it's looking for the new interaction it should be referencing, and therefore that's why it defaults to unassigned as the original interaction is not on the new slide. Even if they're all multiple choice questions - they're all different, and therefore needs to refer to the interaction on that slide.
My 3rd party keyboard/mouse macro worked perfectly; I ran it overnight and all 1,500 questions have been updated to use my new custom submit button. It wasn't as much of a hassle as I thought.
Just wanted to hear if this this is still not possible? Since I using the newest SL360 version thought it to be a good idea to ask if there have been any updates in the past 7 years.
Since I am now in the same situation and would rather not have to go through each individual question.
Thanks for checking in! Unfortunately, this setup won't work since the Submit button is specific to each slide and the interaction on that slide. Triggering this action from the Slide Master will submit all interactions simultaneously.

Thank you for the prompt response,

Hi Joseph -
Yes, it sounds like those are your two options.

Happy to hear that Jim! :-)

Hello Jeremy!
