Can you copy a slide into a master slide? I created a slide I want to use throughout my learning path for objectives, post-assessment, etc. It's not letting me turn it into a master slide or layout (not sure of the difference - I'm still new) by copying and pasting. Is this possible and if not, what is the best way to go about creating master slides/templates?
If you have a slide or set of slides that you wish to use as a template, all you need to do is to click File / Save As and then save it as a Storyline Template file. Then, whenever you select the My Templates option from the Slide menu, you will have access to your template to use on your project.
This should save everything in the template slide, including such things as animations, triggers, formatting and variables, which is what makes them indispensable at times.
Whenever you produce something that you really like, think of adding it as a new template to your collection. You never know when you might need it.

Hi Jenny,

And this saves everything associated with that slide as a template? (triggers, layers, buttons, etc.)
Glad to hear this can be done - this has helped me IMMENSELY.
Thanks so much!
