matching Drop-down menu not working html5 for Chrome or Firefox

Oct 07, 2013

When i publish a matching drop-down menu slide and i test it in the html5 version on chrome or Firefox, it just doesn't wok. Sometimes it allows you to choose one drop-down and then every drop-drown stops working, other times it simply doesn' allow to select any. Furthermore, the syle of the dropdown is not well formatted (too small or shifted on the left). Watching the html5 version on ipad doesn't work too.

have you ever experieced this?

Hi David! Sorry you're running into this. What unwanted behavior specifically are you experiencing with your drop-downs in the HTML5 output? There were a few issues dealing with this feature fixed in recent updates, so you'll want to make sure you're running the latest update (Update 11) which you can download over here.

If you're still encountering this behavior on the latest update, there are a few other details I'd like to know so we can nail this down. What browser are you seeing it happen in? What environment are you publishing for and where are you uploading the published output to in order to test it? Are you able to share an example of this in a .story project file you've created so I can do some additional testing? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this thread. If you'd prefer to share it privately, you can do so with our Support Engineers by way of this form. Thanks! :)

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem with this type of question in HTML5 format. It works fine as long as I can use my mouse to select the correct answer. However. I am unable to access the answer dropdown and select an answer using the keyboard. Since everything I do must be 508 compliant and in HTML5, this presents a huge problem for my training as it is used many times throughout it. The keyboard navigation works just fine in flash.

Are there any solutions?
