When i publish a matching drop-down menu slide and i test it in the html5 version on chrome or Firefox, it just doesn't wok. Sometimes it allows you to choose one drop-down and then every drop-drown stops working, other times it simply doesn' allow to select any. Furthermore, the syle of the dropdown is not well formatted (too small or shifted on the left). Watching the html5 version on ipad doesn't work too.
Hi Zio! What version of Storyline are you currently running? There were some improvements that were released with Update 3 regarding this, so I wanted to start there first
Will this problem ever get fixed. I have been directed to not use Flash output and the some problems with HTML5 output exist as they have been reported here 3 years ago?
Hi David! Sorry you're running into this. What unwanted behavior specifically are you experiencing with your drop-downs in the HTML5 output? There were a few issues dealing with this feature fixed in recent updates, so you'll want to make sure you're running the latest update (Update 11) which you can download over here.
If you're still encountering this behavior on the latest update, there are a few other details I'd like to know so we can nail this down. What browser are you seeing it happen in? What environment are you publishing for and where are you uploading the published output to in order to test it? Are you able to share an example of this in a .story project file you've created so I can do some additional testing? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this thread. If you'd prefer to share it privately, you can do so with our Support Engineers by way of this form. Thanks! :)

I am experiencing a problem with this type of question in HTML5 format. It works fine as long as I can use my mouse to select the correct answer. However. I am unable to access the answer dropdown and select an answer using the keyboard. Since everything I do must be 508 compliant and in HTML5, this presents a huge problem for my training as it is used many times throughout it. The keyboard navigation works just fine in flash.

thank you Leslie, i'm already using update 3 from it's early release on June .
i attach the file containing only the slide that doesn't work in html5.
Thanks Zio! I am able to see and reproduce your issue, so I will track it as a 'bug' for you. Thanks again for sharing your findings.
This doesnt work at all for me either in HTML5. I click on the drop downs with my mouse and nothing happens. Works fine as flash. Using Update 4.
Hi Dan,
Are you testing it in a particular browser as Zio was? Also, when testing your published content are you testing locally or within the intended publish environment? Do you have a .story file you could share with us here? If you'd prefer you could also share with us privately here.

I'm also experiencing this problem. It works perfectly in preview, but is unpredictable when published to html5.
It's intermittent, so it sometimes works.

Hi Lisa,
This thread is a bit dated, but I do see where you started a new conversation here and I just responded.
I'd be glad to keep the conversation going over there and continue working with you :)
