Matching Drop Down Review

I have a quiz with 8 matching dropdowns, when completed you can review and it shows the correct answer next to the dropdown feild, but it is black by default and I cannot figure how to change the font colour.
Additionally, and nearly more importantly, I would like to have a simple right\wrong in the form of an X and a tick. I'd usually make this as one shape with states, X as default and the tick as a correct state, then alter the state if correct. How could i determine if the dropdown is correct, the data is obviously there in the backend but how could I pull upon that as it is a hidden variable ?
It would be great if you could simply do something like- IF choice A = # THEN

Hi there, Thesec. Our community manager Nicole does a great piece on how to customize (or create your own) review layers. Since the default review layer has some elements that can't be changed, you might want to consider creating your own so you have complete design control.
