Any one have any experience using Storyline and performing mathematic calculations. I'm working on a project that will be used to help identify how much product should be ordered given certain usage patterns/needs. I need to be able to perform a variety of calculations based on user - supplied data.
It depends on how complex your math is. SL can perform the base operations, +,-,*,/ and anything that can be derived from those, e.g. calculating a %. For more complex operations, like square root, sin/cos, log... you need to use Javascript.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Michael! And Robert, in case you were not already aware, although we do not provide support for JavaScript coding, it may be helpful to take a look at this document on JavaScript Best Practices. Hopefully, other experts in the community can chime in with suggestions!

Michael, any supporting materials on use of the base operations you can direct me to?
You could start here and then continue with the links at the bottom.
