Menu buttons grey - first time only
Sep 17, 2014
See attached (flow)
I am using a trigger to activate the 3 menu buttons when "media (sound) completes". This works.
But when the learner returns to the main menu the second time, they don't need to listen to the instructions again. so I want the buttons to be active immediately, and the media (sound) to go away.
But apparently my variable "media completes" is getting reset, when I come back to the slide the second time. In other words, the slide does not remember that it already "completed" once.
How do I...
1) Turn off the sound the second time the slide is visited?
2) Activate the menu buttons immediately the second time the slide is visited?
Thx!

Hi Charles,
What are the slide revisiting properties for your slide? You'll want to use "resume saved state" so that the user is brought back to where they left off in terms of the visited state for a button.
If you're still having difficulty you might want to share the .story file here with us.
That was simple. Thanks!
Hello,
With regards to the greying of the buttons, how about if you want to keep the greying of the buttons when visited, but for the audio not to play when revisited, or for the audio to restart from the beginning when revisited?
Thanks,
Eliz
Hi, Eliz - Looks like you asked a similar question in this thread. I just wanted to link them for future reference.
