I have created a story where I do not have a menu option showing on the screen, but I have just added a few new slides which seem to have the menus showing (which I do not want). I have gone into the player as I did originaly for the slide and unticked the options as I had done originally, but the menu still appears when I preview on these slides.
It sounds like maybe you clicked the individual slides instead of tellling SL you don't want a menu at all. Can you double-check? Go into the player, be sure the Features tab is showing at the top of the dialog box, and in the Sidebar section under Player Tabs remove the checkmark from menu.
