Missing Interaction Data

I was asked to help troubleshoot issues that someone is having with a course.  This course includes multiple interactions.  These interactions are all textboxes asking the student to enter their reflections.  This course was loaded onto ScormCloud.  When I run the interactions report, it says that there are no interactions.  I can look at the raw course data and I can see the info entered by the user, but it is not being recorded as an interaction.  I see that there is a "Submit Interaction" trigger on each interaction.  I do not see a results slide in the course though.  Is the lack of a results slide the issue?  Can this be solved just by adding a Submit Results trigger?
