Missing Notes in Sidebar

Hi,
I'm a newbie. I want my notes to appear at the side of my slide.
I have selected notes to appear in the sidebar and they show up as you can see in the picture below. However when I save the settings and preview the slide or run the presentation the notes section is not there, and only the 'slide' section is visible. The menu tab is visible and working in the presentation but no 'notes' tab is available. Any assistance greatly appreciated

Hi Bella
have a look at your slide properties to see that the notes option has been selected. You can access the slide properties from story view or from slide view (cog wheel in the slide layers).
