Modern player - logo isn't showing

Hi there,

Using the modern player (either the black or white versions) adding a Logo in the player's properties isn't showing it when previewing slides or when publishing.

Is that a known issue?

I've just created a module with the modern player, and the logo in the course wrapper shows up fine above the menu in LMS output. However, when I publish to Web or CD-ROM and view the html5 file, the logo doesn't show at all - just a black space. (Windows 10, latest updates...tried IE and Chrome browers, working from C drive)

Has there been a resolution or work-around on this?

Hi there, Lora.  Your situation sounds similar to Philippe, where the logo wasn't showing up when viewing the published output locally.  Can you share your .story file and also the logo image file with our team for testing?

I could see the issue with Philippe's files on my end, but I couldn't reproduce it using my own file with a different logo image.  Hopefully we can nail down the cause!

Hi there, Kimberly. There were some instances where we could reproduce the issue on our end when viewing the published output directly from the output folder. When you view the output in your browser, are you hosting it on your website or LMS, or are viewing it from the folder on your desktop?

We're happy to test on our end, as well. With your permission, I can look at your project file and logo image file to investigate what's happening. You can share them publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here.  I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hi there,

You have the files, I'm not sure why you are asking for them again. I did create a new player and that seemed to work. It's like the player file got corrupt. Is there anyway you can confirm that using the files I sent already?

I just uploaded a logo and it appears in the player preview but not when I preview the entire course or when I publish. I have the menu enabled in the topbar instead of the sidebar. When I switched the menu to the sidebar, then the logo showed up. I don't want the menu in the sidebar.  Has there been a resolution for this or is everyone just sending in their files to get help?
